Central European Strategy Council is Now GLOBSEC

Entering its second decade, GLOBSEC has decided to take up several new challenges to match the rapidly changing international environment and to help its global outreach. GLOBSEC and the consortium of its organisations have therefore undergone major changes.


GLOBSEC Academy Centre is a joint educational project by GLOBSEC and the Faculty of Politcal Science and International Relations of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. The project’s aim is to find exceptional young individuals and educate them to become the new generation of world-class analysts on global security and international relations.
Heads of states, dozens of ministers of defence and foreign affairs and hundreds of analysts, diplomats and journalists from more than 70 countries visited Bratislava for the eleventh annual GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum. Special attention was given to the presence of German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen, former US State Secretary Madeleine Albright and Nasser Judeh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
During the week of May 23 – 27 2016, the 1st European Cafés Tour will be organised in the eastern regions of Georgia. Slovak and Georgian speakers will visit the following cities: Rustavi, Marneuli, Telavi, Tianeti, Akhalkalaki, Mtskheta and Gori.
