Mission
The Central European Policy Institute answers the call for the necessary amalgamation of the region’s intellectual power. It links top research institutions and experts from across Central Europe in order to come up and promote innovative regionally based solutions. By setting the fundaments for the convergence of national positions and by applying a regional approach, the Institute seeks to strengthen the region's identity and voice. The vision of a self-conscious and well-functioning Central Europe defines the fundamental framework for our activities.

Who we are
The Central European Policy Institute combines the advantages of a classical think tank and of an institutional network. Founded by the Slovak Atlantic Commission and associated with a number of the region’s renowned nongovernmental organizations and universities, it aspires to help Central Europe’s research and advocacy capacities to join forces in the region’s favour. At the same time, it hosts and cooperates with individual scholars and professionals from Central Europe.

Activities
The Central European Policy Institute conducts a number of research activities ranging from day-to-day analyses and policy-oriented research with a strong advocacy potential to long-term in-depth research projects. It provides policymakers with policy consultations based on the national and regional interests including detailed recommendations with credible reasoning. At the same time, it makes an effort to explain policy issues and advocate its positions to the expert communities and general public through publishing and promoting research outputs, organizing events, as well as engaging media and new types of communication.
