Euro-Atlantic Club of Montenegro and Slovak Atlantic Commission signed Memorandum of Cooperation in order to implement common project named “Montenegro on the way to Euro-Atlantic Family”.
Project is consisted of various activities with the same goal to increase knowledge of the citizens about the process of Euro-Atlantic integrations. Because of that, it is planned to organize: Speaker Tour – in order to visit all municipalities in Montenegro, Panel discussions at Universities, School for International Security, Seminar for journalists and the Conference to analyze and evaluate achieved results.
Pertaining to the signed Memorandum, Slovak Republic delegation, headed by Ambassador Frantishek Lipka, stayed in Podgorica from January 18th to 20th 2009.
Apart from the meeting with the host of the delegation, Mr. Savo Kentera, the Secretary General of EAC, during the visit a series of bilateral meetings had been held with the officials charged for the implementation of Communication Strategy for Euro-Atlantic Integrations. Further actions were accurately defined at these meetings and the basis was established for cooperation in certain aspects of the implementation of what was planned.
The experiences of Slovak Republic, a respected member of NATO Alliance, are of huge importance for the achievement of the final goal – Montenegro as a full member of the Euro-Atlantic family.
