The GLOBSEC conference is regularly held under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. In 2005 and 2006 the aegis over GLOBSEC was taken by H.E. Eduard Kukan and in 2007/2008 the auspices was provided by the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, H. E. Ján Kubiš.
Personal active engagement of the Minister and his department during the preparation of the conference is a guarantee of high level of quality of this event. GLOBSEC enjoys significant attention and personal attendance not only of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but also of the Minister of Defence and Deputy Ministers of both departments – they regularly attend not only the discussion itself but also the accompanying events.
