Dr. John C. Hulsman is the President and Co-Founder of John C. Hulsman Enterprises (www.john-hulsman.com), a successful international relations consulting firm. With clients in both the public and the private sector, the firm offers world-class expertise, explaining American politics and policy to the wider world, while also assessing the broad contours of the new multipolar era we find ourselves in, helping both businesses and governments to more skillfully adapt and prosper through its cutting-edge analysis. In 2008, the firm's revenues tripled. Prior to this, Hulsman was the Alfred von Oppenheim Scholar in Residence at the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin, where he handled the transatlantic and Middle East portfolio. Hulsman was the face of the Council on all aspects of transatlantic relations. His expertise was particularly centered on forging common transatlantic polices regarding Iran, Iraq, the War on Terror, and the Middle East Peace Process. Prior to his tenure at the National Interest, Hulsman was a Senior Research Fellow in International Relations at the Heritage Foundation. He has delivered more than 260 speeches and papers at conferences sponsored by Harvard, Yale, Stanford, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, the German Council on Foreign Relations, the French Army War College, the Aspen Institute, the German Marshall Fund, the European Parliament, NATO, and the Department of State.
