Scott E. Rutter

Director of Business Development for BAE Systems-Communications and Tactical Networks

Scott E. Rutter is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  He has a Master of Science Degree in Management from the University of Saint Mary. Commissioned in the Infantry, Scott served honorably for twenty years beginning as a Rifle Platoon Leader with the 101st Airborne Division and culminating as the Battalion Commander of 2nd Bn 7th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division during combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military decorations include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal with Valor Devise (With One Oak Leaf Cluster) and the Joint Meritorious Service Medal.  He has been awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge (2d Award) for his participation in combat operations in Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Scott earlier served in combat as a Rifle Company Commander in the 1st Infantry Division in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  Scott also served as a Senior Intelligence Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency. Currently, he is the Director of Business Development for BAE Systems-Communications and Tactical Networks in Wayne, NJ. In addition to his full time position, he serves as the National Spokesman and Board Member for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) and as a professional speaker for the Young America Foundation and the Leadership Institute. Scott is a regular contributor for several different news agencies.  He has recently returned from an embedded reporter mission as a Fox News Military Analyst covering many areas in Iraq, most notably the Battle for Fallujah. Moreover, he regularly volunteers his services to local nonprofit and charitable organizations and has been recognized for his volunteer service by resolutions from the City of Philadelphia and the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
