Briefing on the new NATO´s Strategic Concept to the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA)

On 14th September, the Slovak Atlantic Commission is organising a briefing of Civilian Advisers to NATO GoE on the new Strategic Concept (STEVEN FLANAGAN and CAMILLE GRAND). The target group of the briefing, chaired by TOMÁŠ VALÁŠEK, Member of the Board of SAC, are our esteemed partners, members of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA) and Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA), the biggest security oriented network of NGOs counting Atlantic associations in 41 countries, NATO member and partner countries in Europe, North America and Asia. The briefing is a unique opportunity for opinion-makers and young leaders from Euro-Atlantic area to discuss preparation of the new NATO's Strategic Concept two weeks before NATO Secretary General introduces his draft of the document at the end of September. The discussion will also embrace remarks of Amb. ANATOLY ADAMISHIN, President of the Association for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, on the European Security Treaty of President Medvedev in relation to the new Strategic Concept.

 

Briefing on the new NATO's Strategic Concept to the Slovak Group of Experts

(Activity of Slovak Atlantic Commission´s STRATCON 2010 Project)

As a part of the STRATCON 2010 project, an all-year project of the Slovak Atlantic Commission on the new NATO' Strategic Concept, a briefing of STEVEN FLANAGAN and CAMILLE GRAND to the Slovak experts will be held. The session will be chaired by TOMÁŠ VALÁŠEK, Chairman of the Slovak Group of Experts STRATCON 2010 and Member of the Board of SAC. The aim of the briefing is to compare the Slovak opinions and recommendations to the new NATO's Strategic Concept with positions of three Civilian Advisers who actively participated in the process of creation of Alliance key strategic document.
