Martonyi and Schwarzenberg will discuss at the GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum

This year GLOBSEC will be held during the ministerial meeting of the Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership countries. To a great extent, this will be reflected in the choice of topics and speakers.

Hugarian minister of foreign affairs, H.E. János Martonyi as well as his Czech counterpart, H.E. Karel Schwarzenberg will come as well.
The sixth edition of prestigious GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum, held on 2nd - 4th March at the Kempinski Hotel River Park Bratislava, will be held in the sign of the V4. The Visegrad Group itself commemorates 20 years of its existence, the political situation in the four countries creates a positive environment for deepening cooperation and Hungary and Poland are taking the Presidency of the EU.

A unique possibility that is coming up for the region of Central Europe, but also many other themes, will be discussed at the Bratislava forum among several ministers of foreign affairs, NGO representatives, recognized journalists and representatives of the academic sphere from both sides of the Atlantic.

GLOBSEC 2011 will be so far the biggest in its history. During three days, approximately 70 brilliant speakers will take part in seven discussion panels, five informal night owl sessions as well as in a new feature - seven thematic break-out dinner sessions in Bratislava restaurants. For a few days Bratislava will again become the centre of the foreign policy and security policy discussion.

The event will be organized by the Slovak Atlantic Commission in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Slovakia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the NATO Public Diplomacy division. GLOBSEC 2011 is taking place under the auspices of His Excellency Mikuláš Dzurinda, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
