The protection of information networks is not only about access to entertainment and information. Financial services, transport and energy infrastructures depend on the protection of cyber space. The security of a state itself is at stake.Today, the GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum will start in an unusual way– with informal Night Owl Sessions on the premises of the Kempinski Hotel River Park in Bratislava. Topics for discussion will include cyber security, which has become crucial in the information society.
The format of the Night Owl Sessions allows for closer interaction between the speakers and the audience in comparison than the main panels. During today’s three meetings, additional topics on cyber security will be discussed, including: the Eurozone crisis and the Strategic Defense Reviews in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
The informal Night Owl Sessions will continue on Thursday, covering topics on current uprisings in the Arab world, cooperation of the EU and NATO, defense cooperation and climate change.
