Gordon: “We can leverage our contribution and maximise our effort by working together.”

Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, U. S. Department of State, Washington, D. C. Philip H. Gordon highlighted Central Europe's role in spreading democracy to the East. USA is also interested in the Eastern Partnership region – since the 2008 war it provided more than billion dollars to Georgia, it gives funds to Moldova as well. He pointed out that USA strongly condemns the post-electoral crackdown on demonstrators and some opposition candidates in Belarus.
