Ralf Roloff

PD Dr. Ralf Roloff is senior German professor in the Marshall Center's College of International and Security Studies.  He is also in charge of accreditation for the college.  Dr. Roloff served as acting deputy dean briefly in 2008. He served as deputy course director for academics in the Senior Executive Seminar and in the Program on Advanced Security Studies (PASS). He has taught at the Marshall Center since 2003. Dr. Roloff's experience is in international relations, international security and international political economy, European integration, and German foreign and security policy. Prior to the Marshall Center, Dr. Roloff was acting professor of international and European politics, University of the German Armed Forces, Hamburg from 2000-2003. From 1999-2000, he was acting professor of international politics at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz. He was assistant professor and executive officer at the Research Institute for Political Science and European Affairs at the University of Cologne from 1994-1999, and lecturer and assistant to the director of the department of political science, University of Trier from 1991-1993. Dr. Roloff completed his Habilitation in 1999 and has been coopted as a member of the faculty of economics and social sciences, University of Cologne (1999). He earned his Dr. phil., political science, from the University of Trier in 1994. He earned his Master's of Arts degree (M.A.) in political science and German literature and linguistics, from the University of Trier (1991). He was a Robert-Schuman-Fellow, European Parliament (Luxembourg, Strassbourg and Brussels) (1992) and a Fulbright Fellow at New York University (1995).
