Informal security conference taking place on wednesday and thursday in Bartislava will be broadcasted live via internet. Wider public will be able to watch the discussions with key personalities of international politics.
The aim of the conference „New Challenges – better capabilities“ (NCBS), which is accompanying conference of informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence, is connection of NATO ministerial meeting with wider discussion of international security community. Except new secretary general of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussena, a number of defence ministers and ambassadors to NATO, deputy assistant of american minister of defence, advisor of the russian president, well known analytics and journalists from Europe and USA.
Live broadcast from all panels will be available on the official website of the conference www.ncbc.sk, and on the official website of NATO www.nato.int.
During the two days will participants from more than 30 countries talk about recent security issues. They won´t be able to avoid the theme of NATO relations with Russia and impact of the finacial crisis on security and defence, NETO mission in Afganistan or cyber security. In context of the ministerial meeting the main issue will be the new NATO strategic concept. This theme should replace the basic conceptual document, which is alredy 10 years old and does not reflect recent needs of allies.
The conference takes place in the Historical building of the National Council of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava. It is organized by Slovak Atlantic Commission with the support of Ministry of Defence of Slovak Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovak Republic and NATO Public Diplomacy Division.
