Jamie Shea is the Director of Policy Planning in the Private Office of the Secretary General responsible for advising and assisting the Secretary General, senior NATO management, and the Council in addressing strategic issues facing the Alliance. Prior to this function he held numerous positions in NATO’s sructures such as Director of Information and Press or Assistant to the Secretary General for Special Projects. He is a member of many organizations from the Policy Council of the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Board Member in Geneva Centre for Security Policy to the Advisory Council of the Académie Diplomatique Internationale in Paris. Mr. Shea also educates at the Collège d’Europe in Bruges, at the Brussels School of International Studies, American University in Washington D.C. and many other prestigious universities. After his studies he recieved D. Phil. in Modern History from Oxford University as well as B. A. Hons. in Modern History and French from Sussex University.
