Project of the Slovak Atlantic Commission Improving Democratic Institutions – Door to Europe, which was launched in November 2010, aspires to utilize rich experience gained during the Slovakia`s integration period in the EU and NATO. The contribution of Slovakia will be carried out via transfer of know how to the officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the Slovakia`s priority countries regarding the foreign development assistance.

Respective activities are focused on transfer of know how from the area of the security sector reform, reform of the armed forces which was also in Slovakia partially conducted in the context of the NATO accession, Strategic Defence Review, supervision over security sector reform, transfer of know how from the processes of the institutional reforms in the EU accession context. One whole component of the project has been carried out by the partner, an IT company which has unique experiences from preparation of an administrative-information system implemented in the area of entrepreneurial environment.

Main goal of the project will be pursued via realization of trainings and consultations with relevant government employees, drafting an analysis with concrete recommendations based on the realized consultations. Also functioning software solution will be created and handed over to the respective officials in the country.
