Mission:
Good leaders, smart would-be decision makers and knowledgeable young professionals are crucial for good governance and the healthy development of society. They can be empowered through education and focused training. The mission of the Youth Leadership Program of the Slovak Atlantic Commission is to help young professionals achieve their full leadership potential, improve their academic performance and encourage them to build upon the knowledge and experience they were introduced to. Furthermore we seek to enable them to apply this experience and knowledge in their areas of professional activity and exercise positive influence both nationally and internationally.
Who we are:
The Slovak Atlantic Commission is proud of its reputation of a youth incubator, which it has acquired over the years of its performance in the Central European non-governmental sector. The engagement of the young and motivated in variety of its activities and projects has proven an unparalleled learning experience which boosted not only the determination but also the abilities of young people to become confident young professionals.
Drawing form the experience and equipped with a firm determination for even further-reaching and more effective support of young people on their way towards professional development, the Commission has systematized the Youth Leadership Program and launched several complementary experiential education subprograms focused on leadership development and the promotion of values which the Commission adheres to.
The Programs mutually reinforce one another with the common goal of helping would-be professionals:
- To develop knowledge, skills and techniques directly applicable to their careers;
- To interact with experts and practitioners in their field of professional orientation;
- To forge long-lasting connections and facilitate cooperation among younger professionals.
